BIOGRAPHY

At Acid Baby Studios, we believe that framing is more than just preservation — it’s a way to honour and elevate artistic expression. Our bespoke framing services provide artists, collectors, and creatives with high-quality, custom-crafted frames that enhance their work and ensure its longevity.

Framing is the foundation that sustains our mission: fostering a vibrant, inclusive art community. By offering exceptional framing solutions, we create opportunities for underrepresented artists to showcase their work with the professionalism and care it deserves. Each frame we craft not only protects art but also supports our larger vision—breaking down barriers in the art world and making creative spaces more accessible to all.

Acid Baby Studios is dedicated to bridging the gap between artists and sustainability. Our work empowers creatives by providing the tools and resources they need to thrive, from expertly crafted frames to a supportive platform for artistic voices that often go unheard.

As we grow, our commitment remains the same: to frame art with intention, to uplift marginalised creatives, and to sustain a thriving, diverse art community—one frame at a time.

I've come to realise that many great artists are shaped by life's challenges. Creativity serves as a powerful outlet for expressing unspoken emotions and trauma.

As the world faces escalating loss and suffering, the global mental health crisis has reached alarming levels. Having personally endured prolonged trauma, mental health awareness has become central to my daily life.

Entering adulthood, the impact of my trauma became more evident, and recovery often felt out of reach. In October 2022, I began antipsychotic medication for recurring nightmares, not realising the profound relief it would provide from psychosis.

As I reflected on this journey, I noticed how elements of psychosis and nightmares had subtly appeared in my artwork over the years, even in pieces from my youth. The flowing shapes and vibrant colours I used mirrored my inner turmoil—a dance between illness and healing. My illness felt like a heavy force within, while my healer clung to whatever vibrancy could be salvaged amidst the struggle.

Through each brushstroke, I’ve learned to embrace my journey with greater peace and compassion for myself. This newfound appreciation for art as therapy has led me to create the Voices Unbound movement, a space dedicated to amplifying marginalised voices. The movement seeks to bridge the gap between the elite art world and underrepresented artists and creatives, creating an inclusive environment where all can find their voice and healing through creative expression.

As an artist, I hope to inspire others—not just fellow creatives—to recognise their mental health struggles in the chaos of the world and find healing through art. My goal is to challenge mental health stigmas and promote healing through creative expression.
