Jupiter

Jupiter O’Keefe is a nonbinary 2D animator creating narrative-driven art that invites audiences to escape into dreamy tales of romance, freedom, and liberation. Inspired by surreal children’s books and impressionist sensibilities, their work explores perception and the undefinable, making the unknown feel less daunting.

Using crayons, gouache, acrylic, and watercolour, Jupiter recreates the world’s soft blur, reflecting their own visual impairment. Their characters often embody feelings of otherness—social anxiety, autism, gender, and class struggles—making shapeshifters like aliens and werewolves natural protagonists in their stories.
